college

I don't understand why people assume college students are being 'coddled' and aren't talking about hard subjects? As a sociology student and writer at http://writepaperforme.org/buy-research-paper/, all we talk about are difficult topics such as gender, race, religion ect. We've discussed in depth issues and specific laws and regulations and often broach deeply personal or uncomfortable topics where differing opinions are encouraged and voiced.

What made discussion so rich and rewarding in my soc of Religion course was that we had such a broad spectrum of religiously and politically affiliated students. Never was there a 'right' answer, either. Even in non-sociolgy classes "offensive" topics are often brought into the discussion as a way to view things through different lenses or create meaningful discussion. This could be because I go to a liberal arts university, but I find this whole theme that college students are afraid of talking about hard subjects to be grossly inaccurate.

And let's not pretend that it's 'college students' who are threatening free speech when the police union is talking about getting 'surprise' revenge on Quentin Tarantino for voicing dissent against police brutality.

Also, I see trigger warning discussion far more rampant on social media sites than in actual classrooms. Occasionally I'll receive an email from a professor stating that our reading contains material regarding a topic that might trigger past trauma for a student and it ends there.
